Brittney Larsen

Hi there! I am a master’s-level clinical counselling intern with a supportive, collaborative, and integrative approach to therapy. Under supervision, I work with individuals, couples, and families using trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, and evidence-based practices.

Grounding my professional understanding in an existential-humanistic approach to how individuals create meaning of their experiences, my therapeutic presence is warm, reflective, and non-judgmental, inviting curiosity, honesty, and humour (where appropriate). Valuing the therapeutic relationship as a space to explore and process, I draw from both my professional and lived experiences, approaching counselling with humility and empathy, while focusing on each individuals’ strengths and values.

Prior to counselling, my professional path reflects a lifelong commitment to supporting others. After gaining education and experience as a mental health outreach worker, I have spent over a decade as a teacher and mentor, specializing in relationship-building, fostering emotional intelligence, and developing regulation skills. These roles, along with volunteer leadership in community-based family programs, inform my depth of understanding and ability to connect with clients across diverse life stages and needs.

With deep appreciation for the complexities of individual, historical, and cultural influences, I welcome all aspects of each client with kindness and patience as they work toward healing that is meaningful for them. Reach out today to learn more about the personalized therapy services designed to meet your unique needs.
